Wait... you're a streamer?!
Late last year, I found myself in need of a bit of a break from candlemaking. It was the holiday season, the business was doing well, but I starting experience mental and physical health issues and told myself that it was time to step back. (You remember the whole name change situation, right? Yeah. Oof.)
But if you know anything about me, you know I can't keep still.
One Saturday, I found myself watching a streamer name zomgliyah on Twitch. Her enjoyment in what she was doing was exactly what I wanted. Of course, everyone's path is different, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I told myself that if I did this, I wasn't going to to use my streaming "platform" to peddle candles. For some reason, I thought that'd be weird.
I can't remember the circumstances in which I was asked, but I remember telling one person that I sold candles. And then that person told me that there's no reason I needed to feel like I should hide it.
So I stopped.
In the last 6 months, I've met some of the most kind and supportive people that I think I've ever met. Each one of them has inspired me to be a better person and to keep going (or to rest when I need to).
This page isn't just about them talking about my candles.
This page is a heartfelt thank you to the new people in my life who have kept me going, especially on days that I didn't want to.
